Ornate flowers aperture card

Woo hoo, it's Friday! Good evening all and what a lovely Friday evening it is today, I do hope that it continues to the weekend so that I can go see the pygmy hippo babies at Whipsnade!

I love using Stampin' Up punches, they are just so useful, all of the circles, ovals and squares nest beautifully for matting and they store away so easily with the new shape. Square punches may seem boring, but they make carmaking and scrapbooking so very easy, as you can see from this card. I decided that I wanted my sheet of ornate flower stamping to show through this time rather than being centre stage, so I punched a square in some Elegant Eggplant textured card stock with the extra large square punch.

I added one of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch on a dimensional to give it a bit of depth but I wish now seeing it up close that I had stamped the card first with the coordinating hostess stamp set. I couldn't resist the modern label and word window punch combo and this greeting from the Occasional Quotes stamp set is just so perfect I find myself using it over and over again.

Here you can see the gorgeous Seam binding ribbon that matches the card stock and ink. I cannot express enough how much I love this ribbon, not least because it comes in four of my absolute favourite colours (Crumb Cake, Rose Red, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz) but also because the photos don't do it justice to how shimmery and silky it is.

Fir this ribbon strip I glued a strip of ribbon on the card and pinched it where I wanted the bow to go. I then made a fork bow which produces the most adorable teeny tiny perfect bows and stuck it on top.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my cards this week, I hope to be announcing a new card class next week and would love it if you could come along and craft with me. Don't forget that the free stamp is still on offer for anyone buying the bargain lover's Starter kit from me, and anyone placing an order with me for £25+ gets both catalogues posted to them absolutely free of charge and a little thank you from me.

See you tomorrow for some bling!
