Stampin' Up Owl punch and free Stampin' Up Catalogue

Hello all, I will be doing a series on the Stampin' Up Owl punch for the next week. I was supposed to start it yesterday but was foiled by technology!
This punch is simply amazing, there are so many things that you can do with the parts that it cuts out that goes beyond just the owl (which is adorable!)
When you cut out the parts for the owl you can embellish them whatever way you would like, cut parts of it out of patterned paper, or even emboss some parts of it.
Here is one that I made out of brights patterned paper and Concord Crush.

I then cut a scalloped circle with my Stampin' Up punch and embossed it using the square lattice embossing folder. Once the circle was embossed, I cut it in quarters and used them to make wings for my little owl. Here is the finished result.

You can play about with the eyes and the colours you use to change his expression and the purpose of the card. Here is one that I made using Early Espresso and Crumb Cake card stock. I also inked the Level One hostess gift "Because I care" flower stamp with Cajun Craze ink and embellished the Crumb Cake "belly" of the owl. I thought this made a gorgeous card that could be used for a man or a woman ( and we all know how hard it is to make cards for men!)

I used the modern label punch, word window punch and sizzlets die "Little Leaves" which works so beautifully with this punch. The flowers were made using one of the punches from the "Itty Bitty Shapes" set in the mini catalogue.

So this punch is absolutely gorgeous used in its own right as an owl punch, but as I said it can be so much more so check back tomorrow but be prepared to hear him roar! ( all will be revealed tomorrow.)

In the meantime why not check out my speacial offer page where I will be offering a free Ideas book and Catalogue and a free Mini Catalogue to anyone placing and order over £25 with me (excluding postage). So don't delay why not order the Owl punch so you can try out these ideas yourself!
See you tomorrow!

  1. Hi Claire! I'm really pleased to find you here, and have really enjoyed your Owl punch series - I don't have the punch yet, and am amazed at how much you have been able to do with him! I particularly love the dragon bookmark - SO cute!

How are you doing? Thanks for your comment on my blog - I was really pleased to get a recruit... just 2 more to go(!). How are you doing? How are your workshops going? Mine have been a bit of a bust, I just haven't had the time to do anything much. Good job I buy enough to hit my sales target! xxx
