Ok so day two of the Owl punch series and I promised you that you would hear him roar today. As I was looking at the punch I could see how the face looked like a cute little dragon. When I had made mine by turning him upside down and cutting his ears off ( sounds so cruel!) I noticed that there was another way that I could make a different looking dragon. With the first one I made it out of Garden Green and made his ears from the five petal flower punch.
Card - Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Concord Crush, Brights Designer series paper
Ink - Early Espresso
Stamps - Broadsheet Alphabet
Punches - Scallop circle, Owl punch, corner rounder.
As to the next dragon, my husband decided that my dragon looked too young and made his own grown up dragon.
Carrying on the bookish theme I made a pen holder to set him on.I thought that this would be a lovely way to wrap a pen as a present and shows how much you can do with Stampin' Up products, not just making cards.
The Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder adds a lovely feeling of depth to projects and gives it a finished look. I find myself using this embossing folder a lot, but it is really easy to skip over.
Card - Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Basic Black
Punches - Corner Rounder, Owl Punch
Other - Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder
I hope that you are all enjoying this series on the owl punch, I love it as it is making me focus really hard on thinking of inventive ways to use one thing. If you are enjoying reading my blog, why not leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you.
See you tomorrow (bring your swimsuits!)
