Sorry for posting a bit late but today doesn't feel like a Monday! I suddenly realised I was due to start my new series.
This week I thought I would focus on one of the Level 1 hostess gifts you can get for having a party (see here for details). This is not one of the first stamp sets that I would have chosen as it is very different to my normal style, but that is one of the wonderful advantages of free stamp sets - you don't have to spend anything to try something different.
We all have our favourite stamps within sets that get used and reused and some which (ahem) may never have even been mounted. So this week I thought I would try to use every stamp from this set at least once. I would be very easy to forget about this stamp particularly beside the beautiful Hydrangea, but I think this card shows that even accessory stamps can be the focal point of any card - Just look at the close up of this card...
I love the combination of Baja Breeze and Pretty In Pink and the scallop corner and edge punches make a feature of the matting and draw attention to this little stamp. I think, with the right sentiment, this card could quite easily be turned unto a baby card (and avoid the need to buy any special baby stamps). The markers made colouring this stamp really easy and coordinate beautifully with the super surface that the Whisper White cardstock gives you. Finally, the basic pearls dress both the stamped image and the card up quite nicely.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy this week's collection.
I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who left me a comment over the weekend - it means so much to me that you'd take the time to let me know what you think of my cards.
See you tomorrow.
