This started off as a card when I was making projects for a design competition run by the lovely Michelle Last for her team. We had to use at least one thing from the mini catalogue (which you can browse through on-line by clicking the picture on the left hand side of the blog). As I started playing with the gorgeous Botanical Gazette Designer Series papers, it struck me that it would make a lovely layout for some pictures I had taken of my mother's garden the day before.
I had never made such a small layout before (6" x 6"), and it really made me focus on drawing attention to and complementing the photo. The Nature walk stamp set works perfectly with these papers as they were designed as part of a set or "suite" specially for the mini catalogue. The products in the mini catalogue are only available from now until September although some of them may carry on in the main catalogue.
I also used the Fun Flowers die to make the flower and the Little Leaves Sizzlet to accent it. I then sponged Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron and Soft Suede inks to colour it. I got the nature quote from the level three hostess gift Occasional Quotes from the main catalogue. You can get this set free by hosting a qualifying party (why not contact me to find out how?).
The last thing I did to this page was to stamp the little bee up in the top right hand corner with So Saffron ink, I had overlooked this little stamp in the Nature Walk set, but I absolutely love it having used it so I'm off to dream up more cards using it!
Hope you enjoyed this project.
