Hello all, I'm new to this blogging business so I will keep this short and sweet and get down to the crafting. As the sun is shining outside (which is definitely a novelty in Northern Ireland where I am on holiday!) I feel very spring-like and full of creativity. I absolutely adore the items in the new mini catalogue from Stampin' Up and every time I think I have everything I want, I see more!
In this Easter box I used colours that I normally wouldn't use. Chocolate Chip is a favourite of mine, but I had never used River Rock before, and I found that they combined very nicely together. The scallop envelope die from the mini catalogue is so versatile, I used four of them to make this box. I couldn't resist using the Owl punch and used crumb cake and chocolate chip to make him.
The French Filigree background stamp on the chocolate chip band around the box stamped with Versamark added a lovely sense of depth to the band without using ribbon.
So that's my first post! I hope you enjoyed it, and come back soon for more crafty goodness.
Happy Easter all.
